What does Reef Safe mean?
KAANI is a physical sunscreen made with non-nano Zinc Oxide and Titanium Dioxide meaning that they are not toxic to coral . KAANI is a mineral sunscreen and is formulated without oxybenzone, octinoxate, and other chemicals that may harm the environment.

Is your sunscreen sticky or unnaturally white?
KAANI ACTIVE and KAANI Everyday were made to be easy to blend into all skin tones leaving no white cast for skin that looks healthy. We took great care to create products that you would enjoy using!
Can I use KAANI ACTIVE on my face?
Of course! KAANI ACTIVE is a face and body sunscreen, it's the perfect SPF protection for being outdoors. We have some people who use KAANI ACTIVE on a daily basis and many prefer to use KAANI Everyday as their daily SPF protection. Both formulas don't have ingredients such as silicone, drying alcohols, parabens and fragrances making it great for those with sensitive skin.
Can I apply makeup on top of KAANI sunscreen?
The short answer is yes.

If you're not wearing foundation, you can apply KAANI before blush and loose powder.

If you are wearing foundation or cushion, apply KAANI and wait a few minutes before applying foundation or cushion.
How often should I reapply sunscreen?
Thge active ingredient in physical sunscreens doesn't get used up with UV exposure so technically you don't need to reapply. However in practicality we often smudge or smear off the protective layer when doing activities or drying ourselves off. We recommend that you reapply whenever you finish an activity and whenever you come out of the water,
